FAST FUSE SALE- SOLD OUT!

I have bad news from Stampin' Up!!!

Unfortunately, the Fast Fuse Adhesive inventory couldn’t keep up with our enthusiasm, and Stampin' Up! was forced to end the Fast Fuse 5-Day Sale already.  They knew there would be a big demand for it, but we blew them out of their forecasted projection.

YEAH- I know that many of you got in on this great deal!!  I'm glad you ordered it so fast.

Another 'Beautiful Day' flower!

Here is another pretty 'Beautiful Day' flower, that I colored with Brusho.  I am just lovin' using this fun new Brusho product!  This card is clean & simple & elegant!

Here are the 5 colors of the Brusho Crystals.
IMPORTANT TO KNOW:  You just take a tack pin & poke one hole in the top of each lid & use them like you would a salt shaker!  Store them with the tack pin left in them.  DO NOT TAKE THE LID OFF OR OPEN IT......as the Brusho is a very fine powder & it will poof all over & make a huge mess.

 How did I do it?

  • Using Versamark ink, I stamped the flower image onto Shimmery White card stock.
  • I put White Embossing Powder over it & heat set it with the Heat Tool.
  • I then took a Big Clear Block & tapped some Orange & Yellow Brusho onto it.
(Gosh- don't look at my messy grid paper- I didn't realize it was that bad- sorry!)
  •  Using my Aqua Painter I added a little water with the Brusho powder & then colored my flowers.
  • NOTE:  I did use a Pear Pizzazz ink pad- by squishing the ink onto the ink pad cover & picking it up with my Aqua Painter to color the leaves.
  • I used the circle make up pad that I bought at the dollar store to lightly pick up some extra water in some spots.
  • I then let my flowers air dry for about 30 mins.
  • I then took my Paper Snips & fussy cut out the flowers.
stamp set:  'Beautiful Day'
card stock:  Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Shimmery White
designer paper:  Tutti-frutti 6x6 DSP
ink:  Versamark & Archival Basic Black
other:  White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Paper Snips, Brusho, Aqua Painter, Clear Block, Dimensionals, Perfect White Accents (colored with a Black Sharpie Marker)

Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  Last night when they went home I did farm bookwork & Susie's Hair Hut was open, as Deke needed a hair cut pretty badly.

This morning I'm off to walk & then head to town to get the boys.  I'll take the twins to school & spend my day with the 3 little ones.  The 3 big boys will be here after school tonight.  And when everyone is gone home I'll be cutting card stock tonight.

I hope you have a very special Thursday!!
Happy Stamping!

A sliding 'Barn Door'!

OH my gosh......Here is a sliding barn door card that I made!  Oh it is so stinkin' cute!!!!

The door rails & the bar above the door, are just Big Shot images that are for looks only.  They do not make the card slide.  They just make it look more realistic!  I used the double slit framelit to make the sliding track areas for the washers to slide in.

This sliding door card is super easy to do!  You can check out a Stampin' Up! u tube video on how to make this by- CLICKING HERE!
Check out the cluster of hearts that I put on the other side of the door.

I purchased #6 washers at our local hardware store & sandwiched them with one of mini dimensionals between them to make the slider!  NOTE:  You will need 8 total washers to use for just this one card.
stamp set: 'Barn Door', 'Perennial Birthday' (for the inside words) & 'Always & Forever' (heart cluster) card stock:  Basic Black, Real Red, Whisper White, Crumb Cake
ink:  Archival Basic Black
other:  Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Sliding Door Framelits Dies, 1/8" Real Red Ribbon, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Cookie Cutter Builder Punch (little heart hanging on the Hello sign), mini dimensionals, 8- #6 washers from the local hardware store

Yesterday was a busy day with snow, kids & stamping!  I'm ready for SPRING to say the least.  We have piles & piles of snow with more on it's way.

I'm not sure what today will bring.  Drake wasn't feeling well last night.  I'm off to walk & then head in to town to get the boys.  I'll take Brody (& maybe Drake too) to school & then spend my day with the other kids.  And we might be going to the dr???  We'll see.

Deke is off early to chore & head to the courthouse to spend the morning at his office there.

Tonight I'll be stamping!
I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!

Yesterday was a busy day with the 6 kids.  Our house was literally pretty crazy!  And then it started to snow!!  Wow- we had huge snowflakes & they came down fast!  Sarah & Manda got off of work a little early, so came to get the kids.  And then I worked on stamping stuff all night.

This morning I'm up early to walk & head to town to get the boys.  I'll bring them out to our house, as the other 3 kids will be here too.  Then hopefully Deke can take the 3 big boys to school, as they have a 2 hour delay.  Tonight I'll be stamping again.

I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
Happy Stamping!

Double 'Barn Door'

Check out these double barn doors!!  I think this card is super cute!!

Wow- what a cool stamp set this is!!  I was in love with it the first time I looked at the Occasions Catalog & just couldn't wait to find time to play with it!  And oh I've been having fun creating with it!!  I made 3 different cards using this stamp set.   They are all the same colors, but totally different layouts!  I'll be posting the others sometime soon for you to see too!

This card opens the double doors from in the front center!  Isn't it cute!!!
Check out the hinges!!!  All of the barn doors we have on our farm have hinges, so  I made these using the middle triangle cut out from the hello frame, that I have hanging on the door.  It worked perfectly!!  Look at how I did that from the photos I have posted below.

Note: I had to cut 4 of these separately to get the 4 different hinges.
stamp set: 'Barn Door' & 'Perennial Birthday' (for the inside words)
card stock:  Basic Black, Real Red, Whisper White, Crumb Cake
ink:  Archival Basic Black
other:  Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Sliding Door Framelits Dies, 1/8" Real Red Ribbon, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Cookie Cutter Builder Punch (little heart hanging on the Hello sign),
Here is the inside of the card!!

Yesterday was a long & busy day!!  I was beat when I finally got home last night.  I enjoyed my day stamping with everyone that joined me for my monthly N. Liberty class.  Denise was a great hostess, with lots of yummy snacks.  Everyone made 6 super cute cards!!  And it was a fun time with friends!

Last night we went to Nathan & Sarah's for super & to watch the Super Bowl.  I crashed when we got home.

This morning Deke is up early to chore & head to the office for his weekly board meeting.  I'm up early to walk & then head to town to go get the boys.  There is no school today, so I'll spend my day home with all of the kids.  Drake wants to make Valentines!!  So I'm sure we'll keep busy crafting!  Especially if we went up getting the predicted snow that is headed our way!

Tonight Deke has a meeting in Fairfield....so after the kids all go home I plan to cut card stock & work on getting things ready for the other 4 monthly classes that I have coming up yet this week!

I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!!
Happy Stamping!

Gosh.......yep, I have another flower card using the 'Beautiful Day' stamp set, along with Brusho!  I have just had so much fun playing with these new coloring powders!

Check it out!!  It is clean, simple & pretty!!

After I got it all done I got to thinking- I can't believe I used orange & black together, as usually I think of those colors being for Halloween.  But I think they look great together with this flower & it looks like spring!
How did I do it?
  • I stamped this flower onto my Shimmery White card stock, using a Versamark ink pad.
  • I added the White Embossing powder, tapped off the excess & heat set it.
  • I colored this flower with Brusho by sprinkling some powder onto a clear block, using my Aqua Painter, picking up the color & coloring in the flower.
  • I let it dry for about 15 minutes & then fussy cut it out using my Paper Snips.
stamp set:  'Beautiful Day'
card stock:  Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Whisper White, Shimmery White

A Brusho Butterfly, using a 'Beautiful Day'!

This Butterfly makes me think of spring.  It is bright & cheery!  And I thought we could all use some thoughts of warmer weather & spring this time of year!!

Oh- I used the Brusho again!  I am lovin' it!

This Butterfly is from the 'Beautiful Day' stamp set!

How did I do it?
  • I heat embossed the Butterfly onto Shimmery White card stock, using White Embossing Powder.
  • I then sprinkled Red & Yellow Brusho over the Butterfly.
  • I used my spritzer & lightly sprayed water over it.
  • I let it air dry for approx. 30 minutes.  (Time may vary, depending on how much water you put on it.)
stamp set:  'Beautiful Day'
card stock:  Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Shimmery White, Whisper White
designer paper:  Tutti-frutti 6x6 DSP
ink:  Versamark & Real Red
other:  Brusho, Spritzer, 1/8" Real Red Ribbon, Tutti-frutti Sequins, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Dimensionals, Glue Dots

Yesterday was a busy day with the 3 little ones.  The 3 big ones road the bus here after school.  The 3 Wood kids were here late, as Nathan & Sarah both had late meetings.  Brayden was excited, as he got to go out & help Papa & see the baby piggies that came last Friday.  They ate supper with us & when they went home I stamped!

This morning I'm off to walk & head to town.  I'll take the twins to school & spend my morning with the 3 little ones.  We get baby piggies again later today, so Sarah will come get their 2 kids whenever the trucker calls & says he'll be here.  Trey will go out with Deke & I to work on the farm.  Tonight when the kids are gone home I'll be a stamping fool!

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!

'Floral Statements'- WOW!!

WOW!!  Check out this pretty card using the 'Floral Statements' stamp set!!  I just totally love how this card turned out!  It is just gorgeous!!

This technique is called Black Magic!
How did I do it?
  • Use the Embossing Buddy all over the Basic Black card stock.
  • Stamped the image using a Versamark ink pad.
  • Put White Embossing Powder over the entire stamped image, tapping off excess.
  • Heat set the image using the Heat Tool.
  • Color the images using the Stampin' Blends.  I used Dark Cherry Cobbler for the roses & Dark Old Olive for the leaves/stems.
  • I was careful to not get the Stampin' Blends onto the THANKS letters that I wanted to leave white.
IMPORTANT TIPS:
  1. The Dark Stampin' Blends show up so much better than the lighter ones.
  2. If you get the Stampin' Blends onto one of the letters or someplace that you don't want it to be- you can use the Color Lifter to remove it.
  3. It is so easy to color when you use the Black card stock, as if you get outside the lines- onto the Black card stock- it doesn't show!
I made multiples of this card to send to some friends!  See how I colored the roses first & then colored the stems/leaves.
Check out the AWESOME new Embossing folder called- Petal Pairs, that I did along the edge of this card, using Old Olive card stock!!

And I added some of the 1/8" Real Red ribbon- that I doubled up & tied to put at the base of the stems.

stamp set:  'Floral Statements'
card stock:  Basic Black, Old Olive, Real Red
ink:  Versamark Pad
Stampin' Blends:  Dark Cherry Cobbler & Dark Old Olive
other:  Embossing Buddy, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Real Red 1/8" Ribbon, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Big Shot, Standard Plate, Petal Pair Embossing Folder
So what do you think?  This is such a wow look & so easy to do!

Be sure you check back again soon.  As I have 4 other cards I've made doing this technique with other stamp sets & colors!  They are awesome too!  I'll be doing a card using the technique at all of my February monthly stamp classes too!

++++++++
Yesterday was a busy day with kids.  Poor little Miss Ainslee hasn't been herself the past 2 days.  I'm not sure what is up.  I am wondering if she doesn't have ear infection.  She has been cuddled & rocked alot this week.  The boys road the bus here after school & grandma had warm chocolate chip bar cookies waiting for them.  Masen thought he was starving & had a hard time waiting for the big boys to get here before he got to eat his cookie.  He actually got a kitchen chair, pulled it up to the counter top where the pan of bars were.... (thankfully I had them cut & had a spatula laying there too), he got out his own bar cookie out of the pan & headed to the little table in the family room to eat it.  It was precious & I was so shocked that he is getting big enough to do something like this all on his own!!  When everyone went home I stamped last night & did laundry!

This morning I'm up early to walk & then go to town to get the boys up, read & drop them off at school.  I'll spend my day with the 3 little ones here at our home.  The 3 big boys will be here after school too.  When everyone goes home I'll spend my night again stamping!

I hope you have a very special Thursday!!
Happy Stamping!!

Here is another pretty flower card using the 'Beautiful Day' stamp set flower image.  I mixed different colors of Brusho powder onto my Clear Block & then picking up the ink with my Aqua Painter to get this color.

Now could I ever get this exact color again- I doubt it!  But this ended up matching perfectly with Fresh Fig card stock doesn't it!

HOW DID I GET PURPLE?
  • I mixed Brusho colors of Red & Blue on the Clear Block, using the Aqua Painter to get purple!
stamp set:  'Beautiful Day'

'Beautiful Day' with Brusho!!

I've been playing some more with Brusho!!  And having lots of FUN!  There are just endless possibilities when using it!

Check out this clean & simple, yet- very pretty card!

Oh & look closely at the Whisper White card stock layer.....I used one of the pretty new Petal Pair (flower image) Embossing Folder.  You can find this on pg. 23 in the Occasions Catalog.

Check out this flower!!  What do you think?  I colored it using the Brusho powders & an Aqua Painter.

  • I then took my Paper Snips & fussy cut out the flowers.
stamp set:  'Beautiful Day'
card stock:  Pear Pizzazz, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Shimmery White
designer paper:  Tutti-frutti 6x6 DSP
ink:  Versamark & Archival Basic Black
other:  White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Paper Snips, Brusho, Aqua Painter, Clear Block, Dimensionals, Big Shot, Standard Platform, Petal Pair Embossing Folder (flower image)

These are the 5 different colors of Brusho!

This morning Deke is up early to chore & head to the office for his weekly board meeting.  I'm off to walk & then head to town.  I'll take the twins to school & then spend my day with the 3 little ones- Trey, Masen & Ainslee.  Brayden will ride the bus out after school, so I'm looking forward to see him a little too.  Tonight when everyone is gone home I'll spend my night stamping!  As I'm creating & getting ready for my February stamp classes.

Gotta run.......
I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!
Happy Stamping!
